C’est en 2005, que SakadoYa nait de la réunion de 2 amis de Settat-Maroc partageants la même passion musicale Khalid – Chant et Hicham – Batterie et avec un 1er line-up qui resistera pas longtemps … Le groupe se remet sur ses pieds et retrouve une stabilité en 2007 suite à l’arrivée de Simo (Guitare ryth.), Reda (Guitare solo) et Mehdi (Bass) et décide de se lancer dans une nouvelle aventure en se posant de nouvelles perspectives. Partant du Death, passant par le Thrash et même le Heavy-Blues, leur chemin musical prend une autre direction totalement différente, un changement radical dans les mélodies et les rythmes dû aux influences diversifiées et riches des nouveaux membres, permettant d'ajouter un nouveau son à SAKADOYA, une pulsion brutal et agressive avec un arôme mélodique et délicat. En février 2008, SAKADOYA reçoit une invitation pour une scène à Sidi-Kacem pour la 2eme édition de SidiRock festival, une chance pour se performer et présenter leurs nouvelles compositions dans une scène nationale. Un succès inattendu lors de ce festival bouleverse leur destiné et les incite à viser les deux grandes festivités de la musique alternative au Maroc, avec seulement quatre compositions les SAKADOYA se retrouvent présélectionnés dans les deux plus grandes compétitions nationales en même temps « Génération-Mawazine » et « le Tremplin du Boulevard des jeunes musiciens ». Et c’est là ou commence l’histoire. Le 29 avril 2008 le groupe se présente pour le 1er tour de Génération-Mawazine et depuis ne cesse de progresser par des pas stables le long des différentes étapes de cette compétition durant tout un mois jusqu’en finale et remporte le 1er prix catégorie Rock/Metal. Trois semaines après SAKADOYA participe au Tremplin du B.J.M en partageant la scène avec 9 autres groupes et réussit à remporter le 1er prix catégorie Rock/Metal. Le 21 juin, le groupe a été invité à jouer au grand festival l’Boulevard à côté de groupes tels qu’Exploited et Psychup, suivi de plusieurs invitations aux différents coins du pays. Une année qui semblait riche pour les SAKADOYA mais pas autant. Alors qu’il préparait pour d’autres festivités et contre toute attente le rêve va se réaliser, le groupe est appelé à préparer pour sa rentrée en Studio pour son premier album, chose qui semblait un grand défit encor plus pour toute la scène Rock/Metal marocaine que pour le groupe. Une nouvelle étape à franchir, le groupe est amené à terminer la composition de son album dans un délai de trois mois puisque la date de l’enregistrement a été déjà fixée avec le producteur Stephan Lucacic. Février 2009, moment tant attendu, le groupe passera un mois d’enregistrement au studio (P.L.O, Casablanca) et durant toute cette période il devait faire face à deux contraintes concernant la qualité de production à savoir conserver le son lourd et brutal du Metalcore en gardant les anciennes influences old school du Death, le travail continue et donne naissance à 8 morceaux appartenant à un album varié « Back to The Age of Slaves ».

It was in 2005 when SAKADOYA was created following a meeting held between two friends from Settat-Morocco who both shared musical passion; Khalid (vocals) and Hicham (drums), a 1st line up which couldn’t last so long. The Group stood up on its feet and found its stability in 2007 following the arrival of Simo (guitar ryth.), REDA (guitar solo) and Mehdi (Bass). They decide to be engaged in a new adventure with new perspectives.they broke into the metal market with ‘Death’, hence the Thrash and even the Heavy-blues, their musical path takes another completely different direction, one radical change in the melodies and rhythms due to diversified influences, and enriched new members to add a new SAKADOYA, a brutal and aggressive pulse with a melodic and delicate sound. In February 2008, SAKADOYA receives an invitation to perform a scene at Sidi Kacem for the 2nd Edition of Sidi Rock Festival, an opportunity to pull off and present their new compositions in a national scene. An unexpected success of this festival upsetting their intention and encourages them to aim at the two major festivities of alternative music in Morocco, with only four compositions the SAKADOYA were preselected in the two most large national competitions at the same time "Génération-Mawazine" And "le Tremplin du Boulevard des jeunes musiciens". And it is or begins the story. In 29 April 2008 the Group presented itself for the 1st tower of “Génération-Mawazine” and since continues to grow by stable steps all the way to different stages of this competition for one month until the finals and won 1st prize category rock/metal. Three weeks later, SAKADOYA participates “Tremplin du B.J.M” by sharing the stage with 9 other bands and managed to win 1st price category rock/metal. The 21st of June, the Group was invited to play at the grand Boulevard next to festival groups such as “Exploited” and “Psychup”, followed by several invitations to the different parts of the country. While they were preparing for other festivities and eager to achieve their dream, the group was called to prepare for his comeback in his first Studio album, one thing that enormously shocked the entire Moroccan Rock/Metal scene as well as the band itself. One new step to cross, the group was led to complete its composition album within three months since the date of the recording process has been already set with Stephan Lucacic the producer. February 2009, patiently waiting for this moment, SAKADOYA band took them one month to record their first album at the studio (P.L.O, Casablanca) and during this period they had to deal with two constraints on the quality of production to keep the heavy and brutal sound of Metalcore by preserving the old school influences of Death-metal, an ongoing work !! SAKADOYA gave birth to 8 pieces belonging to an album varied "Back to the Age of Slavs".
